Trouble Connecting to Matlab

All,
I was able to get JMP to work with Matlab 2018b , but had to downgrade to 2018a for a specific project.

What I have done thus far:

1. Created an environment variable called MATLABROOT - "C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2018a\"

2. Checked if the PATH system variable has the Matlab Path - ""C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2018a\bin\" (this is where the matlab executable is installed)

When I try to run a simple test, it fails to establish a connection with Matlab:

  Can anybody help ?

Re: Trouble Connecting to Matlab

Just a guess, is in the path variable the R2018b before the R2018a listed? Not sure if this makes a difference, however as I worked for MW many years a go there were situations where this mattered.

Please if you contacted support, enter the final answer which solved your problem here as well, thanks!

Re: Trouble Connecting to Matlab

Essentially what worked is uninstalling Matlab and getting it re-installed. This was the advice I got from Technical Support and that seemed to do the trick.
