There might be different reasons starting with your OS, ...

However here are three links on best practice on how to export publication ready graphs with JMP:

From our academics team:

https://community.jmp.com/t5/JMP-Academic-Knowledge-Base/Saving-Publication-Quality-Graphics-with-JM...

A "JMP on Air" presentation:

https://community.jmp.com/t5/JMP-On-Air/Saving-High-Quality-Graphics-from-JMP-for-Publication-and/ta...

A blog post:

https://community.jmp.com/t5/JMP-Blog/Publication-quality-graphics-from-JMP-Workflow-for-Mac-users/b...

If none of these tips will help you I suggest to ask JMP's Technical Support for guidance under support@jmp.com

Re: The picture JMP saved to my local drive is messed up

Hi,
This might be obvious but from the screenshot of your code, it is not clear that you are actually pointing to the Graph Builder object when you use the Save Picture command (i.e. your last line of code should be "obj << Save Picture (Path, Format);" where obj should be defined as the entire code define under "Graph Builder").

You seem to have some commas (,) where I would expect to see semicolons (;).  The graph builder should be terminated with a semicolon, then another one after the wait function.  Hmmm ... or maybe it looks like you have put the wait and save picture inside the graph builder function.
