The Binomial Distribution Model

Hi,

 

How do I calculate in jmp, from the following attached formula binomial.PNG

the p (in the right side of the formula), given P(x) (in the left side).

Hi,
I think that you might be confused by the Uppercase P and Lowercase p.

I believe that p is the proportion of "positive" events; P is the resulting probability from the equation.

You can use a formula column (or use a script window).  To learn about the formula editor go to the help documentation here: formula editor.
