Hi all.

I would like to know how I can stack in a column (character)

whether numeric data column or not (Character).

Is there simple way to do ti?

I do not want to 2times stack and concatenate it. XD  I use JMP 11 now.

All the columns in a Stack() operation must be of the same data type. If you have any character columns in your columns to be stacked, you'll need to change the remaining numeric columns to character columns.

You can change the data type of a column with the Data Type() message. Like this:

open("$SAMPLE_DATA\Big Class.jmp");

column("Age")<<data type(Character);

If you need to check the data type you can use the Get Data Type message.
