Splitting Stacked Data Losing Unique Values?

My data is stacked in the attached table.  The column "Instance" has values 1 through 80.

When I try to split column "Data" by "Bubble" it seems like I am losing some values in the instance column, since the largetst value in the new Instance column is 31.  I made a video going through the actions to illustrate the point.

The overall number of rows is correct, but it looks like unique values of Instance are being lost.  Am I missing something simple?  Any help is appreciated.

I believe that if you specify your Instance column as the Group column in the dialog box, that you will get what you want

Re: Splitting Stacked Data Losing Unique Values?

Right again.  I had to use both "Instance" and "Serial" to have it retain all 960 rows (Otherwise it only preserved everything for one serial number).  Still a little confused as to what was happening in the first place, but I'll take the win.  Thanks for the advice.
