Hello,
I have a column in given format, Is it possible to remove the “hr.” from the cells and just leave the numbers?
1.2 hrs
1.6 hrs
4.5 hrs
7.6 hrs
8.2 hrs
1.0 hrs
0.9 hrs
The output I desire is:
1.2
1.6
4.5
7.6
8.2
1.0
0.9
Hi,
There are several ways to do this depending on the version of JMP you are using and how you would like to approach it.
One way would be to create new column and add a formula as follows:
Or if you are using JMP version 12 you could use Text to Columns utilities as follows:
1. Select the column you would like to convert and the select the option under the utilities menu.
2. Put your delimiter in as a space (" "):
3. This will give you the following output:
Others might have more creative approaches.
Best,
Stan
