Save JMP datatable directly to SAS Server

I have a datatable opened in JMP.

How do I save this datatable as SAS dataset into a sas workspace? I am connected to the SAS Workspace, I can Browse SAS Data.

I am able to save the datatable as SAS dataset into my local folder, and then use EG to open the dataset.

But I thought there would be a direct way to write to the SAS Server from JMP?

Re: Save JMP datatable directly to SAS Server

The Export Data to SAS UI is only in JMP 9 but if you're willing to run a simple script you can easily do this in JMP 8.

ex: I just ran this fine in JMP 8

sas = SAS Connect("sasmain");
sas << Export Data(Current Data Table(), "work.test");

or if you've already connected to SAS and just want to use the current connection it's even easier:

SAS Export Data(Current Data Table(), "work.test");

Save JMP datatable directly to SAS Server

In JMP 9 you'll find File->SAS->Export Data to SAS...

Re: Save JMP datatable directly to SAS Server

Solution :

Make sure the correct data table window is active. And On the File menu, click Save As Server Data Set.
IML Studio will display the Save As Server Data Set dialog box. In the control SAS Workspace Servers, navigate to the appropriate server and select the library in which you want to save the data set. In the Data set name box, type the name for the new data set. Click OK.
