Reliability growth and lifetime analysis

Hello all,

 

I am conducting reliability test for a complicated product: 

 

- Test sample type: preproduction product which consists of say 10 subsystems.

- Test sample quantity: 8

- We will run test on all the 8 samples simutaneously

 

Plan 1: reliability growth:

- Will follow the process below on each test sampleReliability Growth Testing ProcessReliability Growth Testing Process

- Will record absolute time to faiure data as follow: 

Test sample 1: (0 hr, no failure), (0-88 hr, failure 1, stop, repair), (88- 203hr, failure 2, stop, repair), ...

 

Test sample 2: (0 hr, no failure), (0-73 hr, failure 1, stop, repair), (73- 198hr, failure 2, stop, repair), ...

...

 

Test sample 8: (0 hr, no failure), (0-91 hr, failure 1, stop, repair), (91- 233hr, failure 2, stop, repair), ...

 

Question: How to analyze reliability growth on multiple test samples? 

 

2) Lifetime analysis

When should I start lifetime analysis on the product?
