Reliability Analysis

Hi, i want to fit distribution to the failure data " Reliability and Survival Methods ". The Time between failure is needed for such analysis. however in JMP in Example of the Life Distribution Platform  i see that the time to failure is used for such analysis and it is surprising that in additional example, the time between failure is used. I want to know the reason

Re: Reliability Analysis

Generally, time to failure is the form that the data are in when using the Reliability and Survival tools in JMP.  There are some applications, like Reliability Growth, where the time between failures is reported in the output, but the input data are still specified as time to failure.
