Record of script users

I will be saving a JMP script in a shared location. Is there a way of keeping a record of the users who open and run the script? I'm using JMP 14.

Re: Record of script users

Look in the Scripting Index for details and examples of Get Environment Variable() and Save Text File()

Save Text File( "$TEMP/DeleteMe.txt", get environment variable("USERNAME"),mode("append") );

Re: Record of script users

There is not a built in method to do this, however, it is very easy for you to add a bit of code to your script, that gets the user's id from the Environment Variable and then using Save Text File(), appending that information to a text file that is located in the same shared location.

Re: Record of script users

That might work! Do you have anything coded already? I'm not sure where to start with that
