Partition Platform

I am just now exploring the PARTITION Platform using a "pass/fail" categorical variable.

I note on the graph that the platform outputs the y-axis has numbers from 0 to 1 and my data (all pass-fail data) is scattered around with different y-values.

What is the meaning of the y-axis? How are these values calculated?

Thanks,
-Chris

Re: Partition Platform

Hi Chris,

The vertical position of the points is random. The horizontal lines indicate the proportions of the data. Within each proportion the points are jittered to make sure they are all visible.

Re: Partition Platform

Jeff,
Thanks!

So the y-axis position is wholly random in placement? But it looks like the y-axis is scaled from 0 to 1 with number markings.
