Not include data in an analysis

I am have two different feedstocks which are identified in seperate column (1 = feed crack / 0 = feed butad) by a name selection in column. How can you easily exclude one feedstock in an analysis without doing a 'hide and exclude'? I want to do a non linear fit (specialized modeling) and preferably not use the 'by'-functionality in the non linear fit for seperating the two feedstocks because I use this 'By' already for other purposes.

Re: Not include data in an analysis

Use a Local Data Filter on the Analysis.  It will apply it's own filter on the data, honoring the Hide and Excludes but not changing the Row States in the data table;

An example

names default to here(1);
dt=open("$SAMPLE_DATA/big class.jmp");

// Hide and exclude 12 year olds
dt << select where( :Age == 12 );
dt << hide and exclude;

// run the platform
Distribution(
	Continuous Distribution( Column( :height ) ),
	Local Data Filter( Add Filter( columns( :sex ), Where( :sex == "F" ) ) )
);
