Hi

With the release of JMP 9, Is there any way to load a .Net DLL? I have loaded and used C++ DLLs in the past but would like more information on loading a VB.Net DLL

Hi:

Since JMP v8 - see the "Load DLL" command.

Documentation is in Chapter 10 of the JMP JSL Scripting Guide (Menu: Help: Books:Scritping Guide) page 349.

JMP v9 includes and example in the online very nice online function help (Help: JSL Functions, loaddll). The example from there is:

The load DLL command works perfectly for native DLLs. .Net DLLs need to be hosted by CLR and therefore need to be exposed to COM to be used like regular DLLs. I have a .Net DLL but I am not able to use it from within JMP. I asked this question because JMP 9 seems to use the .Net framework and so should in theory be able to load a .Net dll although the scripting guide does not have any information on how to do this.
