I'm trying to do a sample size calculation for a reliability test in JMP. If I choose a one sided Precision Interval and give JMP the censor time and posative precision number it gives me a sample size. If I use the given sample size and clear the precision and hit continue then JMP gives me a negative precision. I don't understand what a negative precision means.

I found that this is an error with JMP version 9. In version 10 the correct positive precision is displayed.
