Make a window with a button that hides and excludes selected data.

Hi,

Could anyone help me with the code to make an addin that creates a button that when clicked hides and excludes selected data. It can be in its own window but I would just like to add it to the bottom of a data filter box so that would be even better if someone could help me with the code to make a button that can do this that I could just append to the bottom of this JSL code for a datafilter window.

Current Data Table() << Data Filter(
	Location( {812, 364} ),
	Mode( Show( 1 ), Include( 1 ) ),
	Add Filter(
		columns( :Name( "EQID(RUNS)" ), :RUN_FINISHED_DT, :Name( "MATCODE(INVENTORY)" ), :ANALYTE ),
		Where( :Name( "MATCODE(INVENTORY)" ) == "QC BPX V" ),
		Display( :Name( "EQID(RUNS)" ), Size( 97, 130 ), Check Box Display ),
		Display( :ANALYTE, Single Category Display )
	)
)

Re: Make a window with a button that hides and excludes selected data.

I would like some clarification.  Your request seems redundent to the function of a Data Filter.  The sole purpose of a Data Filter is to select, hide and exclude rows in a data table.  What would the need be for a secondary button for this?

Re: Make a window with a button that hides and excludes selected data.

I have it set up so that a few specific columns are called out for the user
to suspect with the data filter. I also have a graph builder window open.
The user is supposed to select points in the charts that they think are
outliers. It would be nice to have a hide and exclude button in the data
filter window to hide these selected points. It would also be nice to have
a button in the data filter window to close the data filter window. These
are mostly just to help with the user friendliness of the jump add-in as
the users aren't very familiar with how or were to look to do things in up
like hide and exclude selected points.

Re: Make a window with a button that hides and excludes selected data.

Here is an example of how to add a button to the data filter.  The contents of my window closes the window, but the button could also do whatever other items you might want.

Names Default To Here( 1 );
dt = Open( "$SAMPLE_DATA\big class.jmp" );

Current Data Table() << Data Filter(
	Location( {175, 175} ),
	Add Filter( columns( :age ), Display( :age, Size( 160, 90 ), List Display ) )
);
Window( "Data Filter for big class" ) << set window size( 237, 372 );
Window( "Data Filter for big class" ) << append(
	Button Box( "Close", Window( "Data Filter for big class" ) << close window )
);
