Hi,

Maybe I couldn't find the simple way to do it but is there the possibility to set a module as modal dialog in JMP Application (JMP 10) ?

I would like to instantiate a module from another and make it modal at opening.

Thanks for your support.

Hello Insider,

I do not know if I understand your question very well, but in

C:\Program Files\SAS\JMP\10\Samples\Scripts

there is the file

JMPStarter.jsl

that:

"// JMP Starter

// This is an example of how to build a customized JMP Starter, with shortcuts to any

// groups of analyses that you find useful."

Are you familiar with JMP Scripting Language (JSL)?

Is this the one you are looking for?

Best,

Hello Teresa,

Thanks for your reply, I had a look into the code of JMPStarter.jsl. I guessed the way to set the window modal:

New Window( "JMP Starter",

  Dialog, // <--

  ...

But my problem is I would like to deal with JMP Module in the Application Builder. I have a module named MainWindow with these settings:

2337_Capture.PNG

And in this module I have a button to open a second module called DialogWindow (Module type: Dialog, Auto Launch unchecked).

Here is the code of MainWindow module:

----------------------------------------

// This special function will receive parameters passed to CreateInstance()

OnModuleLoad({},

);

thisModuleInstance << Create Objects;

// After this point your module instance objects have been created

// and can be referred to by name (for example, "Button1").

Button1Press=Function({this},

  // This function is called when the button is pressed

  DialogWindow << Create Instance( );

);

-----------------------------------

Does it exist a way to set the "DialogWindow" instance modal ?

Thanks for your help.
