In most cases, JMP doesn’t actually “crash”; it “freezes” — and usually recovers after a few hours.
Crash: No JMP window visible anymore
Freeze: The JMP window is present but not responding.
When JMP crashes, in many cases there will be an error message before JMP closes all windows. In addition, the next time you start the application, a dialog will appear asking if you’d like to submit logs to JMP Support. Typically, these crashes are addressed in the next JMP release (I’ve seen dozens of successful fixes, specially during beta phase).
So, instead of living with the crashes, it's in your hand to get rid of them ...
Freezing issues are different: they can sometimes be reproduced and traced to a specific root cause.
These problems are not resolved immediately. Known examples include:
Speed up Tables/Update
Tiny Traps in Jmp and JSL
Kill process without killing JMP
