Hi. A really basic question here. How do I define a default folder location for add-ins. Currently they are going to some strange place that Microsoft created. I'd like them to go to a folder of my designation, so that I can manage them. My first add-in is/was add-in manager. So I can designate my desired folder there, but there does not seem to be a way to set a default location there either. What really basic thing am I missing?

You can specify the name of the folder in your addin.def file. For example, suppose you have an application stored on the fileshare K:\apps\mygreatapp\Addin. Here's what your addin.def could look like:

id=com.mycomp.dept.myapp
name="My Great JMP App"
host=Win
home="K:\apps\mygreatapp\Addin"
