How to de-assign object reference?

All,

I'm writing a simple GUI that displays a list of open tables. As soon as I select a table in that list, two other listBoxes are filled with column names from that table.

I then choose columns to play roles of X and Y and when click "Run" I draw a plot of X vs Y.

Now, in case if a user selects one table, selects columns colX and colY, and then changes their mind and chooses other table - new columns will be displayed, but unless he clicks some of them, the old assignment for colX and colY is still valid.

How do I drop the object reference on variables colX and colY, basically, make them non-scriptable until user actually selects some new columns?

Thanks!

Hi,

But wouldn't you need the user to select the columns in order to know what to plot? Please clarify...

colX = colY = .

Learn it once, use it forever!
