How to create a Query Tool on JMP12 from a directory path

Hi,

I want to automatically fetch txt files through user input and open it in JMP data table.

Can someone share what script or how to do it?

The folder path is a network shared folder and when user input the machine ID & date it will open the txt file based on timestamp.

See Attached ppt file:

  1. User need Key-in what machine number P42# = _____
  2. User input the date =09/13
  3. JMP to find the folder and open the text file

Thanks

Re: How to create a Query Tool on JMP12 from a directory path

You need to use the functions

Files in Directory();
is Directory();
Creation Date();
Open();

These functions will let you move through a directory structure to find the file you want

For detailed definition and examples for each of these functions see the Scripting Index
