How can i split data

Shalom All

I have column data in this shape 677->661. I want to split it in tow columns, 1st clomn to be 677 and 2nd column to be 661,

677->661

714->714

711->697

673->673

658->684

711->725

694->714

705->725

707->722

696->703

685->698

709->711

672->659

712->690

715->715

how can i do it?

Hello,

There are a several different approaches to solving your problem.

One approach is to create two new columns.  With each new column use a column formula with the Word function and then change to a numeric value as follows.

Assuming your first column is called ID then the formula would be implemented as follows:

  • Num( Word( 1, :ID, "->" ) )

I have attached a data table with the column split into two new columns.

Alternatively, you could use the text-to-columns add-in.
