Heatmap appears in blocks instead of continuous

I am trying to make a heatmap to visualize some data.  However, when I utilize the heatmap in Graph Builder, my data appears in blocks instead of a nice continuous heatmap.  I used to be able to make continuous-looking heatmaps, but something changed.  What am I doing wrong?

Is  the Modeling Type for your measurement data Ordinal or Nominal, instead of Continuous?

Re: Heatmap appears in blocks instead of continuous

Hi Jim, Nope I'm working with continuous data and have the appropriate blue triangle designation in JMP.

Re: Heatmap appears in blocks instead of continuous

can you supply a sample of your data?
Which JMP version are you using?
Windows or Mac?

Re: Heatmap appears in blocks instead of continuous

Could you have used a Contour element before, which will interpolate to fill the area?  It still uses discrete levels, but you can set the number of levels.
