More specifically, I have a large environmental data set that contains values below the analytical detection limit. I want to do a simple linear regression (e.g. dissolved metal vs. dissolved organic matter), but because of the values below the detection limit I can't use simple linear regression. Instead I need to use an appropriate method for left censored datasets, such as Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE). If anyone knows of a way of doing this type of analysis in JMP (short of coding it myself) I would love to hear about it.
