Hi all.

I think I may be trying to do the impossible, but I thought I'd ask first. We're trying to run a 5-factor 2-level matrix in 6 runs AND force inclusion of an all low and/or an all high condition while maintaining 6 runs.

The above goal nonwithstanding, is there a way to force inclusion of a set of factor settings into a custom design?

Thanks for any input.

If you have JMP 13 or 14, another option would be:

- create the full factorial design for the 5 factors (DOE-> Classical -> Full Factorial)

- with that data table open, select the row(s) you want included

- start Custom Design, use Add Factor->Covariate, and select your 5 factors

- after the continue, right above the run selection, there should be a checkbox for "enforce use of selected covariate rows".

- check this box, and change your run size to 6.

Hope this helps,

Ryan

Re: Force inclusion of specific corners in a DoE matrix

You could make a table with the runs you want to include and use Augment Design.

Re: Force inclusion of specific corners in a DoE matrix

OK that makes sense... But I'm getting a strange error. JMP claims it has experienced an access violation error and then automatically creates a .JER log file of the event. For whatever reason I can't attach that file to this post.

Any ideas on what's going on here?

Thanks for your help..!

That is a question that will need to go the JMP Technical Support team. You can send an email to support@jmp.com or give them a call.
