Hi all,

Just a quick question, working on making a ternary plot and I get this error on one of my columns:

I've tried scouring the internet but have no idea how to solve this.

any help would be much appreciated!

Re: Error: Contour formula references non-numeric or unresolved column

I am seeing this same error when generating multiple ternary plots that have a categorical term in the prediction formula. Can someone please help to resolve?

Re: Error: Contour formula references non-numeric or unresolved column

How are you trying to make the ternary plot? You may not add non-numeric (i.e., Categorical Factors) when selecting Graph > Ternary Plot.

Use the built-in Mixture Profiler in Fit Least Squares or on its own through Graph > Mixture Profiler should accommodate the categorical factor:

Re: Error: Contour formula references non-numeric or unresolved column

I tried to make the ternary plot with an expression that had categorical data in the prediction formula and use the group by in the ternary plot window with that categorical factor.

Can you fill in above or below on a mixture profiler contour for aesthetic purposes?

I ended up making a subset of the data and editing the formula with the individual additive category data numerical value.
