Does JMP have an evolutionary algorithm solver ?

All,
I am looking to find out if there is an evolutionary algorithm implementation in JMP smilar to what is offered in Excel here (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vba/excel-vba/articles/solverok-function ) . Wondering if the desirability functions have a way to implement this (https://www.jmp.com/support/help/14/how-to-use-the-desirability-function.shtml) - but I see no mention of the word "evolutionary" in the scripting index. I am wondering if it is called something else, would appreciate any guidance.

Re: Does JMP have an evolutionary algorithm solver ?

Uday,

The solver behind the profiler uses a different method.

Sue Walsh included a few notes on it here:

https://community.jmp.com/t5/Discussions/What-is-the-specific-method-that-JMP-uses-to-maximize/td-p/...

I haven't tried to read the book she references, but I suspect the method was pretty difficult to implement.

So while you might not find "evolutionary" in the JMP descriptions, you might find "iterative".
