Data Select within an object

Hi,

Part of my script creates Varbility Charts that define by Two colums , "X" and "By" in the folowing way :

Global:PW <<  Append ( VCobj = Variability Chart(

                                        Y( Column( YCol ) ),

                                        By( BY( 0 ) ),

                                        X( XCol( 0 ) ),

                                        ...

Data table example :

Test

X

order

By

Y

T1

order

1

Test

50

T2

order

1

Test

60

T3

order

1

Test

70

in this case i will have 3 graphs that are seperated by the "By" Column , VCobj will contain 3 objects :

VCobj= {Variability Chart[], Variability Chart[],Variability Chart[]}

i managed to approach each object\graph by selecting VCobj[1] , VCobj [2] ETc...

i am trying to find a way of selecting all the data points within each graph in order to subset it to different data table for additonal calculations.

any idea how to do it ?

Thanks in advance , Noam.

Re: Data Select within an object

See Help > Books > Scripting Guide and search for "select where." This is the name of a message that you can send to the data table with a Boolean expression, such as By == 1, and so on.

Use Summarize() function to determine all the unique levels in the By variable and their order in the variability chart.

Learn it once, use it forever!
