Are there folks available willing to consult on DSD analysis?  I could use some assistance.

Thanks

Richard

Could you please be more specific on what your definition of DSD Analysis is?

Definiative Screening Design.

We've run a small experiment and have the various responses. I'm

relatively new to using JMP and trying to understand how to analyze the

DSD. I have the DSD add-in from Dr. Jones which was used to create the

design. The analysis of the design in order to generate a response

profiler is what I was after.

Hope that answers your question.

I'd start by plotting the responses vs. factors in a Fit Y by X mode. Distributions of the responses might also help. A run chart of the responses in experimental execution order might tell you if some lurking variable hit at some point in experimental execution. Then onto modeling. I suggest using the Fit Model platform as the one stop shopping hub for analyzing your experiment. All the modeling personalities there have prediction profilers embedded into them.

Thanks - I will look into the Fit Model.

Hi Richard.  Were you looking for paid consultation to work with you through the analysis or simply some advice on where to start?

I've found a consultant and also had several offer advice on where to

start.

Thanks,

Just curious, which version of JMP do you have?  DSD designs were integrated into JMP, at least, in version 11 and maybe even 10.  Prior to that there was a DSD Add-In that I believe BradleyJones distributed.  If you have one of these current version, you do not need the Add-In as it is resident in the DOE platform.

On the other hand, BradleyJones gave a great talk about further enhancing the power of a DSD design.  Dr. Jones talks about a way to increase the power of a DSD through some creative steps.  Are you referring to this potential Add-In?

Dave - thanks for your response.

I'm using JMP V12.2 and also have the add-in from Dr. Jones. There is an

analysis done by the add-in, but I didn't find it particularly useful as a

new user to JMP. I have watched the video you referenced several times,

but the technique Dr. Jones discusses required additional runs and fake

factors to be added to the design at the onset. Our experiment was already

completed, so this was not an option for me in my opinion.

I've had several folks from the JMP forum offer assistance in this area for

which I'm most grateful. I'm favorably impressed by the JMP User Community

and look forward to learning more about using JMP effectively.
