Customer Markers based on Column data

Hi all,

It was great to meet a few of you folks at the Discovery Summit last week!  It's been a while since I've posted here, so here is a softball...

We have a column where each row is a single printable ASCII character (so it can also include "!", "*", etc..., but nothing odd like carriage returns or line feeds).  I want those characters to be the designated markers for those rows.  I figured that this would be an easy solution, but I tried a couple things in JSL and failed miserably.  Ideas?

Cheers,

Chadd

Is this what you need?

// An example table

New Table( "test",

  Add Rows( 5 ),

  New Column( "M",  Character,  Nominal,

  Set Values( {"q", "e", "!", "g", "@"} )

  )

);

// Set row states

For Each Row( Row State( Row() ) = Marker State( :M ) );

Geez, that was it?  Thanks!! I was being thrown off by the row state values when I tried to grab the table script after manually assigning markers:

New Table("test",
      Add Rows( 5),
      New Column("M",Character,Nominal,Set Values({"q","e","!","g","@"}) ),
      Set Row States( [229392,196688,65552,196720,131072])
)
