I am new to scripting using JMP, but I am quite sure I'm missing something obvious here.

I am trying to script a control chart that plots points where the columns Wafer and Number equal "224" and C1, respectively. However I am trying to allow the user to define the wafer, though in this example I am just setting it to "224". The control chart does not generate, what am I doing wrong?

wafer2 = "224"

dt3 << Control Chart

(

Sample Label( :Strata ),

KSigma( 3 ),

Chart Col( :Probe, XBar, R ),

Where( :Wafer = wafer2 & :Number == "C1" ),

);

Producing the chart by hand creates this script when copied:

Control Chart(

Sample Label( :Strata ),

KSigma( 3 ),

Chart Col( :Probe, XBar, R ),

Where( :Wafer == "223" & :Number == "C1" )

)

Thanks!

Try eval(wafer2) in the where statement. (also you need 2 equal signs in the wafer condition).
