Column Properties (Multiple Spec Limits per column)

Hi,
let's say I have a column (Resistance) that is tested at different temperatures. I have three testing temp (Ex:25,35 and 45). Is it possible to have different spec limits for Resistance column based on the temp condition? Thanks.

Currently it isn't possible with spec limits column property and you would have to either use scripting or tall format table and extra columns.

@RA899 - Jarmo, as always, is correct :). A workaround for this is to split the column by testing temperature and apply limits to the new columns. You can use Manage Limits to bulk edit the limits. If you have a lot of columns, create a separate data table that contains the variable, LSL, Target, USL.

p.s. Last year I lead an effort where we taught 50+ engineers how to do this so we could do a corporation wide capability study. The method worked well. I too wish a column could support multiple spec limits.

Re: Column Properties (Multiple Spec Limits per column)

I just found that the Process Capability platform can use an external table to do this! Very useful!
