Can you Open Database() to a JMP file?

Now that I've got Open Database() working with an Excel .xls file, I have yet another issue:).  My original thought was to convert my source .jmp file to this .xls file.  Only issue of course is that there are too many columns (and Excel 2003 .xls doesn't support this many columns).  My end goal is to only load in one needed column from the raw data, instead of having to load in say all 200 columns or however many there are.  This would be a huge time savings benefit.

So does anyone know if Open Database() can do an ODBC DSN to a JMP file instead?  If so, does anyone have an example of some required ODBC DSN string that would link it to the .jmp file (e.g. "DSN=....")?  thx.. dj

There is no ODBC driver for JMP data tables, so you can't use Open Database() with a JMP data table.

Thanks Jeff.  That's kind of what I figured, but thought I'd ask just in case there was a way.  I'll pursue using ODBC with Excel in this case.  --dj
