Always Enforce Excel Row 1 as labels?

In my script the user opens an excel data table. I want JMP to Always enforce Excel Row 1 as labels but when the user opens the file, it doesn't give that option. It opens this data table without recognizing the column headings. I think it doesn' recognize them because the data starts with letters, not numbers.

Can anyone help me?         I'm using: Open( Pick File( "  "));

Thank you!

You can set the Excel preferences like this:

// Set row 1 to be column labels and prompt for which non-blank Excel worksheet should be imported

Preferences(Excel Has Labels(1), Excel Selection(1));

dt = open();
