&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; You need to create a validation column and partition the data into training, validation, and test sets (or just training and validation). Or, you can also create a K-fold validation column -- but not all modeling platforms allow for K-fold validation.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; When you partition, you want to take into considering the data that you're modeling by stratifying the validation column, and of course need to also consider how you're going to split the data -- how much goes into each type of data set for the validation column.&lt;/P&gt;
