Hello,

I would like to ask about summary tables.

I have a grouping variable and i want to use the N categories statistic to get the count for each group.

If the column I will use for the N categories statistic has a value that appears on multiple groups of the grouping variable will the N categories count include them all, once for each group or will it only keep it once, the first time it appears in any group and it will not be counted for the rest of the groups.

Hope my wording is not confusing.

Best Regards and thank you in advance

Good morning,

Thank you for the reply.

To make sure I understood correctly. I should choose just N instead of the N categories statistic?

I would try it on a sample case, to prove to yourself that it is working the way you want it to.

I tried with few data points (used duplicates as well to make sure) and N categories:

-doesn't count duplicates (as was expected) and

-if a value appears in multiple groups, in the summary table it is counted once for every group.

So no data other than the duplicates are left out.

Thank you very much for the recommendation.
