You are a green belt working for a candy manufacturer of LightHeads, a tasty sweet and sour candy sold across the US. In the last six months, production has increased, but it has created some quality problems, particularly on Line 5. Line 5 makes two different products, a 15.6 g candy and a 20 g candy. The critical process metric, Y, is the weight in grams of the candy. Open up each of the JMP files and answer the following questions.

1. In the measure phase, you created some control charts. What type of control chart would you use, and why?
2. Is the process in statistical control?
3. Do you think it is a good idea to create control charts in the measure phase? Why or Why not?
