    <description>&lt;P&gt;This was stuck in the spam filter over the weekend, don't know why.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The last row of the xlsx has non-numeric data in many columns. JMP preserves the data from the spread sheet as character data; you might use recode to fix it.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Other columns have units attached to the numbers; JMP keeps those as character data as well. If the units are consistent, you might use find/replace to remove them.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Once the character data is cleaned up, the column can be converted from character to numeric.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Other people here have much more experience with data cleaning and might have better suggestions.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Dear community experts,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I try to import the dataset with continuous data (factor6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13,15 and everything beyond fifteen are responses) from JMP to excel.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;After export I cannot change the data type to continuous, its not available. I already changed everything to number formate and it didnt help.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Its irritating for me also, that all the responses are continuous, even they come from the same dataset. I am a bit frustrated here and every help is highly appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks a lot&lt;/P&gt;</description>
