However, I find it best to use the &lt;A href="https://www.jmp.com/support/help/en/16.2/index.shtml#page/jmp/recode-data-in-a-column.shtml" target="_self"&gt;Recode platform&lt;/A&gt;. I suggest that you look at the help documentation. In particular Advanced &amp;gt; Extract Segment.&lt;/P&gt;
