I have JMP v8 on a Macintosh with OS 10.5.8

When I try to import data from Excel, the files with xls extension are selectable while those with xlsx are not. Is there any way to select xlsx files?

Hi Dan,

I don't believe this is possible; your best bet will be to save the file in Excel 2004 format (.xls), and then import.

With Excel 2008 Microsoft no longer provides the ODBC driver for Mac OS X. You will have to purchase a 3rd party ODBC driver.
