JMP 16 does not ask me for a license anymore, but I cannot do anything in JMP: no text explorer, tabulate, etc. Can't even select variables.

Hi,

I wonder if the problem is related to JMP Problem Note 67990: Intel's Iris Xe Graphics cards might cause graphics and performance issues in JMP. To see, go to "File->Preferences" and the "Windows Specific" group. Deselect the "Enable hardware accelerated graphics" preference, click "Apply", then "Ok". You may have to close and restart JMP to see the differences. Does that help any?

Maybe a silly question, but did you try to uninstall / reinstall?

You could alternatively run the JMP install checker to see if there are issues with your copy. Likely this information will be needed by JMP Support.

main menu: Help --> About JMP will show the status of licence, is it ok?

The hint of @Duane_Hayes is also important, I know of several cases of mystic behaviour of JMP due to graphics acceleration on certain hardware.
