BMI percentile calculations

For patients < 18 years of age, their obesity is determined by age, gender specific BMI percentiles .

CDC had codes to do this in SAS

I am wondering if this is possible to do this in JMP. I currently have to depend on a SAS user to do this for me..

Absolutely, this is possible to do in JMP. You need to translate the SAS into JSL. It will be fairly straightforward to do since there are no specialized SAS procedures in cdc-source-code.sas that you would have to regenerate from scratch in JSL. Nonetheless, it will be a fairly big job to do the translation, since 1) there is a considerable amount of functionality in the SAS code, and 2) considerable testing will probably be required, especially with edge cases. I don't know what your JSL proficiency is; It might be faster and easier for you to get a SAS license. Also, you might get lucky and find someone to do this SAS to JSL translation for you without having to pay them dearly...but that someone is not me! :)
