Our company does GR&Rs quite a bit.

We like the output of the EMP method but it is missing a few valuable statistics we also like from the Gauge R&R method.

EMP does not have the option to enter your tolerance (LSL nor USL) to we can't get Misclassification Probabilities and Precision to Tolerance Ratio.

EMP does not have an option to enter a column with "standard" values, so we can't do the Linearity Study option.

Does anyone have a combined EMP and Gauge R&R add-in or script? Any recommendations?

Looking for the best of both worlds here :)

Did you try the Variability Chart in JMP?

See Help > Books > Quality and Process.

We like the EMP method because it provides a good breakdown of the Intraclass Correlation, Effective Resolution, Gauge Classification, and useful Shift Detection Profiler. The Gauge R&R and Variability methods do not provide this information. Attached is a simple matrix of the comparison of the two approaches.

Both are good. But it would be nice to have one approach which combined the capabilities of both

@ted_ellefsonYou may want to consider placing your request in the JMP Wish List section of the Community. JMP product managers and developers take to heart very seriously input in the Wish List section wrt to product improvement ideas. Now is the time to make these sorts of requests because the developers are heavy into JMP 16 design.

One feature of the JMP Wish List is Community members can vote on ideas...so obviously the more votes an idea gets, the more attention the idea will attract from JMP product managers and development!
