I am looking for a textbook that teaches statistics with JMP demonstration. The contents I am planning to cover include t-test, ANOVA, regression and multiple regression. The one I am using right now is:

Carver, R. H. (2014). Practical data analysis with JMP, second edition. Cary, NC: SAS Institute, Inc.

I find it a good introduction to JMP, but the statistics part is a bit weak. Does anybody have any suggestions on textbooks with better explanations of statistics with JMP? It is for a doctoral level class.

Thank you!

perhaps this:

Regression Using JMP

otherwise, try this list:

http://www.jmp.com/en_us/academic/books-for-jmp-users.html

I would take a look at:

http://eu.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyTitle/productCd-1119097150.html

It's comprehensive and JMP specific (but it stops at simple linear regression).

Another reference you might want to take a look at is "Fundamentals of Predictive Analytics with JMP" by Klimberg and McCollough. The book is based on JMP version 10 with many topics/capabilities specific to JMP Pro as well. So some of the JMP workflows might be different if you are on version 13 of JMP or JMP Pro...and there might be additional capability that has been introduced as well...but the book is a good point of departure for you with a mix of more practical (nontheoretical) statistical methods and 'how to' in JMP and JMP Pro.

Another good book is "Intro Stats", by DeVeaux, Velleman and Bock. Examples are shown using JMP, Minitb, Data Desk, SPSS and (gasp) Excel. Currently in the 4th edition.

Thank you so much for everybody's recommendation. I am going to consult with my professor about which book to pick, but your list definitely helped expand our selection!

One more question: could somebody point me to some resources for doing hierarchical linear modeling with JMP? Like books, tutorials, articles, etc. THank you a million!

I'm not 100% sure what you mean when asking about 'heirarchical models'...this could take many forms based on the structure of the heirarchy inherent in the data collection scheme as well as appropriate analysis. Perhaps you could give an example of a practical problem you are trying to work through and some examples, even contrived, of a data collection scheme (a designed experiment or happenstance, observational data?). We could send you in lots of different directions...variance components analysis, linear mixed models, tree based modeling methods, much depends on context of the problem...data...and in turn analysis.
