JMP presents the resolution under the label 'Resolution - what is estimable' of the Screening design platform.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I will make two examples:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1) for a design with resolution VII, like the 2 to 7-1, JMP reports 5+. What is the meaning of the +? Does it mean that the resolution is actually higher than V?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2)&amp;nbsp; for a 2 to 4 run in two blocks JMP reports a resolution of 5+.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Marcello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In your first example 2**(7-1) there are 64 runs and thus you have enough degrees of freedom for 7 main effects, 21, 2-way interactions, and 35, 3-way interactions plus the intercept. If you utilize the Evaluate Design capability on that 64 run experiment you can specify what order interactions in the alias terms section and see that some 5-way interactions are aliased with main effects and some 5-way interactions are aliased with two-way interactions thus the 5+ number is indicated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Lou&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
