Hey, Murali,

Because of changes in Java on the Mac, Java 1.8 (and even Java 1.7) will not work with JMP. You need Java 1.6. JMP is supposed to prompt you to install Java 1.6, but there was a bug in JMP 11.0 that prevents that from happening. Are you able to apply the JMP 11.1 update? That has the fix. With the fix, JMP should recognize the absence of Java 1.6 and walk you through the process of getting it installed. I'm not sure what the eligibility of SODA JMP users is for JMP Technical Support, but if you are able to talk to them, they can be of assistance getting JMP 11.1 and working through getting the Java you need.

HTH,

Eric

Thank you very much Eric. That worked. I patched up version 11, and it prompted me to download 1.6 Java. Now I am able to connect.

Murali
