I would like to ask for your guidance regarding an operation issue in JMP.

In the version of JMP I previously used on another computer, when moving across cells using the TAB or Enter keys, the selected cell would automatically scroll into view once it reached the right edge of the screen. This made data entry smooth and intuitive.

However, in the current student version I am using, although the selected cell still moves to the right with TAB or Enter, the screen does not follow or scroll accordingly. As a result, the selection continues beyond the visible area, making it difficult to see which column is currently selected and causing inconvenience when entering data.

If there is a setting or method to enable automatic horizontal scrolling when navigating with the TAB or Enter keys, I would greatly appreciate your advice.

Thank you very much for your time and support.

Sincerely,

Re: Inquiry Regarding JMP Operation Settings

Hi @michimasa ,

You can use the right key or down key on your directional pad to achieve this instead - if you are 'inside' a cell (in editing) you can hit enter or tab to escape that so the cell is highlighted in blue then continue to use the arrow keys.

Thanks,

Ben
