How are the Main Effects Residual Plots created in the Fit Definitive Screening platform? I've tried to replicate them in Graph Builder but the only plot that comes close is a plot of Predicted Response - Intercept (y-axis) vs Factor levels (x-axis). Basically, normalizing the predicted values around the mean.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi @mc1 ,

The way that the residuals are plotted are described as:

The Main Effects Residual Plots plot of the residuals from a DSD main effects model fit to all other factors versus the levels of the plotted factor. A factor with residuals that differ across levels indicates an important main effect.

In laymans terms - if you plotted a main effect model for every term excluding the one you're interested in in the Fit Model platform (i..e main effects of X2-X5, leaving X1 out of the model) and saved the residuals, you then plot the missing term to the residuals (X1 to Residuals of X2-X5).

Hope that makes sense!

Thanks,

Ben
