  • Clear selected row cells based off string that ends with

Hello everyone,  Here is an example that I need help with.  I am trying to clear specific rows based off of the last part of column Characteristic (.X, .Y, .Z) and clear the LSL, Target, USL. this is just a basic table and I have many different Characteristics and the ones I need to clear are all that end in .X, .Y, .Z. I have tried to use this JSL code but I cant seem to get anything to happen. j...

  • Bootstrap visualization

I would like to illustrate the concepts behind bootstrap for model fitting. The following post shows excellent exampleshttps://community.jmp.com/t5/JMP-Blog/Visualizing-the-variability-of-a-curve-using-bootstrapping/ba-p/30219 Can we reproduce these visualizations without scripting in JMP 16? I know JMP Pro can bootstrap table parameters, but if I wanted to visualize the predictions of several par...

  • Open Local Image using Relative Pathway

I have survey data in which respondents have uploaded images. I need to have links to the images in subdirectories by question number and have the image open when clicked in JMP. This works with an Expression column for the absolute pathway, but not for the relative pathway. What do I need to add to the "Image Relative Path" column to make it work? TIA.

hi,Can somebody help me with a JSL code, which generates a new table with a formula inside the columns properties? The table size, column names and parameters for the formula comes from an external jmp file like attched. Can someone share some code snippest, how to start with it?

  • How to remove black illegible text on biplot?

Hi! Has anyone encountered this black illegible text on a biplot? (See the attached picture!) How do I edit or remove this text?   If possible, I'd prefer to avoid any scripting. I've only been using JMP for about two days.   Thanks!

  • Successfully performed Ordinary Least Squares - Whats next?

Hi,  Here is a picture of a snippet of the dataset I am working with: p and k are assumed to be dependent variables, dependent on the rest of the parameters. My goal is to get the best possible polynomial p = f(x1,x2,x3...) to model the relationships between my data. Same thing for x. So far, I followed a cookie cutter tutorial on how to perform OLS and got a very basic linear polynomial for my da...

  • "Fit Curve" modeling with multiple x variables

Hi, I am a beginner with no statistics experience. My problem is I have a single column of y values, and 6 columns of x values. Y is assumed to be caused by a combination of the 6 x values.  I am trying to come up with a polynomial, using the x parameters, that model the y. I have successfully done this using least squares regression in JMP (and in python) but the results aren't amazing because my...

    hey everyone,
    I would appreciate your help.
trying to find a method to classify the sides of a polygon
I tried to use the Clustering method (Normal Mixtures)
    but had a classifying error,
    any other ideas?
    thank you

  • how can I use structural equation model to make predictions?

Hi, I built a structural equation model and it works well. I would like use the model to make some predictions. Basically, what I want to do is to change the value of a variable and then JMP can calculate the values of other variables. Is there any way i can output the model equation so that I can use it to predict? Thanks.

  • Get (x & y) intercept values from linear fit of the linear region of a curve/data and store them in a new column

I have JMP data table with data from several parts for which a Capacitance 'C' has been measured as a function of reverse voltage 'V' (0 to -5 V in -0.1V step). A plot of [1/C]^2 vs V has a linear part for small reverse bias (say from 0 V to -0.5V and data is available at 0, -0.1, -0.2, -03, -0.4 -0.5 V within this range). How to do a linear fit to the points between 0 to -5V for each part, extrac...

  • Debugger report for finding bottlenecks

I'm trying to find bottlenecks in a large script with many includes.  I can run the debugger to profile the script but I'm wondering if there's a better way than just looking through each included script for the highest number.  I'm imagining a pareto.     Anyone know a good method to analyze script performance?

  • world map server compatibility

I have successfully used 1-2 world map servers in the past through GraphBuilder but am encountering issues recently (JMP Pro 16). I can't figure out if it's something on my/JMP's end, or the WMS themselves. For instance, the US government has all these presumably WMS-like mapping products:  Note: tiled services may show up as Web Map Tile Service (WMTS), rather than WMS. Most software that can loa...

  • Preserving JMP Data Table Hyperlinks when Tables are Saved in Excel Format

At the risk of blasphemy, I am trying to figure out how to save a table that has hyperlinks for all data in a column in an Excel file, where the hyperlinks are still functional. I pull a lot of Excel data into JMP for faster data analysis and can add hyperlinks to entries in JMP columns. I can save the resulting charts as picture files and raw data files that can be read in Excel, but would also l...
