  • Do you use the preferences?

Via File/Preferences, you can change the standard settings of Jmp.Very cool to adjust Jmp to your needs :) But I found a subtle issue - in combination with the functionality to automatically generate JSL code (save to script, advanced log, Dashboards, log, Workflow Builder ...) The below code changes the preferences, so - please think twice if you want to try it . The story:A user adjusts some set...

  • Text annotation size and text placement control: help needed

All,  I need to place several text annotations on a plot. They are one liners, but different length. So that's why I have to use Fixed Size(0) to adjust label length to match text.  But when I do that, it also adjusts the vertical size and puts the text way too high, which for some reason bothers me very much (plot on the left). If I set Fixed Size(1), then I can control size of the label directly...

  • Bayesian Optimization factor range setting

I would like to use Bayesian Optimization starting from 2 data points.  The factors for these data points (historical data) span only a very limited range, but I would like to expand the exploration to a wider range for some of the factors.  It seems that BO by default is stuck with the initial explored range. Is there a way to set the range to be explored, so that I can go outside the initially e...

  • How to display fit group with fit model objects?

Hi JMP Community, I am trying to generate a fit group model report across a list of response variables, which may or may not be present in the data. When I execute this in the GUI, JMP automatically drops any response variables that are not present. However, I need to do this in a script, and when I do Fit Group for all possible Fit Models, it displays Model Specifications for each missing respons...

  • Automation of Reports for PowerPoint Templates with JMP 15

    Hi all,

I run weekly reports on physiochemical attributes. The old process was to manually input data from excel into JMP. After entering the new data into JMP two scripts are run: Run Chart and Control Chart scripts, that are saved to the Data Table. These scripts have limits of precision and formatting applied (or saved into the scripts). Then the charts are copy & pasted one by one into a PowerP...

  • Kudo arithmetics

JMP provides a wonderful way to shape the future of JMP - the JMP wish list.
Simply click on the button to submit a wish or vote for others' wishes. You  can vote via Kudos: Great! You can support as many ideas as you like — kudos are free! How are Kudos counted?

If three users support a wish by voting with a Kudo, it could be assumed that the wish has three Kudos.
For many wishes, this maths is co...

  • Creating a separate Y axis for each panel of my bar chart

Hello everyone! Does anyone know how to create individual Y axis for a bar chart that consists of two different panels? I'd like to adjust the scale on the top panel but I haven't been able to do so... I've tried dragging two different variables onto the Y axis. While that works for the axis' scale, it does weird things for my error bars, since it combines the standard deviation of both panels ont...

    Formula Column are very restrictive.
